Been an extremely long time since I posted to the blog. What I'm finding in the recruiting world is interesting enough to get me off my duff and typing away. Mid-level people... in the past they were everywhere. Where are you now? Well, I can only guess but I think we're finally seeing the impact of the last 2-3 years of a lousy technology economy. We don't have solid mid-levels any longer. Back in 2000 when things looked so bleak, I'm assuming that new people in the technology field either changed directions or just decided to stay in school. Now it's 2004 and things are heating up. Finding those mid-levels with some solid work experience is becoming my new headache. There used to be a time when finding seniors was a chore (back when our web-based technologies were all new) but now its the mids. Plenty of seniors out there though and a lot of people who are looking at the market again as juniors or associates. So, if you're a mid-level and looking for work, now is a great time for you!
